Barbara Bryan Cooper Gleason
Barbara Gleason, principal partner of CraneDance Publications and BGleason Design & Illustration, LLC, has been designing printed materials for over 25 years, including books, booklets, newsletters, and magazines, and she enjoys helping small to medium-sized companies establish their unique "look." Click here to see Barbara's portfolio site at BGleason Design & Illustration.
Her added expertise in illustration, including natural science illustration, and background in the sciences and publication design, help CraneDance fulfill the expectations of authors and creators of the materials we publish.
Dan Gleason
Dan Gleason recently retired after 30 years on the biology staff as an instructor and lab expert at the University of Oregon, giving CraneDance Publications a strong base in science. His specialty is ornithology (birds), and he continues to teach the Field Ornithology class at the UO during summer terms. His biological background combined with expertise in photography and database development give them good complementary skills as they work together in their studio in Eugene's south hills.
Dan's background in photography, and superb Photoshop "Chops," give us outstanding capabilities in doing photo restoration work and major image-editing, from changing product colors to making babies smile. Some samples are on our BGleason site here.
Together, we specialize in work with small to medium-sized businesses, government agencies and other organizations needing customized creative help with graphic design, illustration and book publishing.
Illustration & Project Management
Barbara creates illustration using several media: pen and ink, carbon dust, watercolor, colored pencil, and computer. We're comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, providing graphic design, consultation, illustration, graphic production management, and even writing, editing and proofreading. We have a number of off-site team members we regularly work with in related areas, so we can find the perfect members of a team for your project!
