Licensing and Commissioning Work

Many of the images found on this website may be licensed for other organizations to use, although some are the trademarked or copyrighted images of organizations for whom we created the images. A large collection of additional images, not found on this website, are also available as well. These images are in digital form and may be delivered by email or by overnight courier service.

Original new commissions are welcome and we invite you to contact us by email with inquiries and questions. We are on West Coast (United States) time, so please refrain from contacting us earlier than 9 a.m. if you wish to rach us by phone. We will respond to inquiries within 24 hours in most cases. As detailed below, all work found on this website is created by us, and since we are the creators, we own the copyright to the original as well as to any reproductions or work derived from that original.

If your project is commercial in nature, we’re certain that we can work something out to our mutual benefit. If you are interested in obtaining permission to use any of our images, we would be more than happy to discuss terms with you. All we ask is that you contact us first, request permission in writing, and follow our guidelines. Don't do something with our work, then ask afterwards. That's against the law and we will pursue all infringements vigorously.

Copyright - Why it Applies

The world wide web has increased the ease of access and ready availability of vast amounts of information and this has contributed to misunderstandings (as well as hundreds of rumors!) regarding the rights attached to intellectual property. My artwork remains my intellectual property and all United States and International laws protecting my copyrights remain in effect, even though my artwork appears on the web.

Why is our artwork here, if not for people to use?

All illustration, photographs and designs found on bgleasondesign.com are copyrighted under Federal and International protection. Our work is available here as a service, so that interested potential clients may see examples of our work.

If You Wish to Inquire About Customized Projects...

Click here to go to our Special Commissions Page where we have a list of questions we'll need you to answer. If you can answer most of them before contacting us, even if mostly "in your head", it will help us answer your questions faster!

We offer many services for companies, agencies and individuals, and we're happy to answer questions about any of the work here, or other work not present on this site.

A Bit More About Copyright...

The income we derive from the work presented on these pages puts food on our table and in our kitties' bowls, a roof over our heads, and seed in the bird feeders. Honoring our copyright thus allows us to survive in tight economic times. Please respect our talents and our rights to our work.

We have deliberately "defaced" these images with the copyright information. We hope this doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the work. Alas, there are people who would deliberately steal these images and pretend they are theirs. Defacing our work at least makes it harder for them to do so without having to do some reconstruction.

If you don't think this warning applies to you...

or to the World Wide Web, I invite you to visit some of these websites. They will offer some education about the issues around copyright.

Remember: Just because it's on the Web doesn't mean it's free for the taking. We do want you to enjoy the work here, but kindly leave it where it is.
