Below are some basic questions we'll need you to answer before we can get started, so once you can answer most of them, please call or email us and we can talk about your project and how we can best help you.
If You Wish to Inquire About a Project...
When you contact us we will usually need to know the following information:
Budget
• What funds are budgeted for the product or image/s? What additional expenses will be incurred that you know about (travel, shipping, etc.)?
Image Specifics
• What medium is the illustration for: print, web, garment, etc.;
• If it's an illustration, what color is it to be: black & white, four-color, two-color, etc?
• If it's a photo, tell us what you need done and, preferably, be ready to send us an email of the image after we've talked to you.
• How many and what size will the end product need to be?
• How much research is likely to be required, and how simple, moderate or complex is the image, design or photo to be;
• How many rough sketches and how many later revisions are thought to be needed?
Turn Around
• When will we receive information to allow us to begin;
• What is your deadline to receive final illustrations, design, book or other product;
• What other factors such as committees or groups needing to sign off, or other additional factors, will influence
the project's development?
Usage
• Where is the image to be published: book, web, consumer magazine; and how many times will the image be used
throughout the publication (or site);
• If the original image is ours, what rights are to be purchased, and what degree of exclusivity is desired?
• If you are needing to license an image of ours, how long a license is desired: one year, three years, etc?
